Non-Planar Printing

3D printing with our robotic arm allows designers to print non-planar objects with ease. Non-planar means the freedom to make curves in all directions. By varying the layer height and speed of print, we are able to produce undulating patterns even though the top and the bottom of the object remain perpendicular to the ground.

The Vertico slicing software is able to produce the toolpath needed to create these unique designs. This planter was made for a client in California and was done first-time-right. It is about 85cm wide and 40cm high.
